Watching Elmo Cook with Jimmy Fallon Is Too Fun

By The Hollywood Reporter

Jimmy Fallon had a very special cooking segment on Thursday’s Tonight Show.

In honor of the new Sesame Street cookbook Let’s Cook!, Elmo stopped by to try out a few recipes, alongside The Roots’ Questlove and fellow guest Jason Schwartzman.

Though the food looked good when done, “Elmo is a horrible chef,” said the popular character with an endearingly self-deprecating tone.

While sipping pineapple-mango smoothies, the four of them prepared a few sandwiches, including waffle grilled cheeses and “sloppy Oscars” — and very quickly, thanks to “the magic of television.”

And don’t ask questions about any the recipes, because “Elmo didn’t write the book. … Put some blueberries in there — Elmo doesn’t care.”
