The Hundred-Foot Journey's Most Drool-Worthy Dishes

Helen Mirren may have “mystified” in a navy lace dress at “The Hundred-Foot Journey” premiere two days ago, but the film’s food is what dazzles us.

Adapted from Richard C. Morais’s novel about the culture clash between a French restaurateur (Mirren) and the owners of a new Indian restaurant across the street from her, "The Hundred-Foot Journey” is, of course, a feast for the eyes. “Food can cross cultural barriers and bring people together,” said Juliet Blake, one of the producers of the movie, along with Steven Spielberg and Oprah Winfrey. “I so believe that.”

Click through the slideshow to see what she means: We asked her for a behind-the-scenes peek at some of the movie's featured dishes, which Indian-born chef Floyd Cardoz helped create.

“The Hundred-Foot Journey” opens to the public this Friday.
