The Most Mouthwatering Food at Taste Talks' All-Star BBQ
Picture this: The sun is beating down and QuestLove is spinning some funky throwback beats from a DJ stand. All around you, happy food lovers are munching on the best barbecue in town while others mill about snapping selfies with their favorite stars and musicians, from “Star Trek”’s George Takei to “Orange Is the New Black”’s Lea Delaria. Juicy burgers are being passed around, double-scoop cones are dripping down wrists, and somewhere someone is cracking open a fresh, sweet crab leg and dousing it in butter. Is this a scene from an ultimate BBQ dream sequence? Nope — this is reality.
This 2015 Taste Talks All-Star BBQ was a star-filled, meat-fuelled end of summer blowout, where the best chefs in the business had a chance to show off their grilling chops. The BBQ, which was curated QuestLove — DJ and frontman of The Roots — was accordingly packed with some of the hottest musicians and artists of today, who collaborated with the chefs to serve up summery dishes al fresco.
