On average Americans will be spending about $50.11 on Thanksgiving dinner for 10 people according to the American Farm Bureau Federation’s (AFBF) latest price survey. So we thought we’d put cookbook author Diana Yen to the test and had her create a budget-friendly menu for six people under $50.

With the help of her pantry and some nifty shortcuts, she was able to create a lavished holiday meal that’s nothing short of an epic Thanksgiving dinner.
