Super Bowl Appetizers for a Winning Party

Whether you’re a football fan or not, everyone wins on a TV spectacle centered around appetizers. We love our classics like chips with queso and chicken wings, but this year we’re going all the way. We’ve been training our stomach this whole season to gear up for the big game and we’re prepared to leave no bite left behind.

Now, the countdown is officially on to Super Bowl 50 on Sunday. Beyonce, Bruno Mars and Coldplay are all lined up for the football face-off’s golden anniversary, so your food spread should be just as solid as the halftime show. While we’re eager to see a victor emerge between the Denver Broncos and the Carolina Panthers, we’re even more excited about the edible starting lineup.

The Yahoo Food team has its eye on newcomers Stromboli with Sopressata, Rapini and Provolone, Oven-Baked Sliders, and Coffee-Glazed Meatballs, but we’re not forgetting about longtime legends like Bacon-Wrapped Dates, Crab Dip and Pimento Spread. It’s tough to predict who will come out on top, but if last year’s #LeftShark taught us anything, it’s to expect the unexpected. All we know is we’ll be there, beer in hand, stuffing our DIY Taco Bowls.

Consider this a favor for making your party more memorable than Cam Newton’s gold patterned Versace pants. Check out our gallery above of 11 Super Bowl recipes so easy you won’t worry about fumbling.
