How a Grilled Cheese Inspired Bethenny Frankel's ‘Food Porn’

Skinnygirl founder and reality TV star Bethenny Frankel may have a multimillion dollar line of healthy snacks and beverages, but a decadent grilled cheese sandwich is what inspired the former TV talk show host to launch a new business venture.
“I was watching television at home one day and heard people talking about melting cheese and truffle oil,” the opinionated “Real Housewives of New York City” co-star told Yahoo Food on Tuesday. “I said to myself I felt like I was watching porn.”
From there, an idea sparked to launch a series of shows around the theme, and she executive-produced “Food Porn” for the FYI network, starring Meatball Shop co-owner Michael Chernow. The show, which debuted in December, followed Chernow as he stalks the most Instagram-worthy and buzzed-about dishes across America. Next on the docket are “Cocktail Porn” and “Closet Porn,” but Frankel declined to say when those shows would air. She would only confirm: “there will be more porn.”
But Frankel did have plenty to say about her latest venture: a line of individual portion sized Skinnygirl chocolates and gummies geared toward women that have about 100 calories each. She released the treats at Dylan’s Candy Bar in New York Tuesday afternoon (wearing candy-colored hot pink hair, naturally).

Frankel said the candies are “a 100 calorie treat that has natural ingredients, like coconut oil, that you don’t feel guilty about.”
“It’s about allowing and indulging, treating yourself, not cheating yourself,” she said, adding that the treats are great for “women at 4 p.m. want a little pick me up,” or “moms who need snacks for after school activities for their kids.”
The candies are on sale at grocery stores nationwide (but not at Kmart, which Frankel vented her frustration about last week in a Twitter rant).
