Which Frozen Pizza Is Best? Two Dudes Weigh In

Frozen Pizza Taste Test

Sure, fresh-from-the-pizzeria-oven pizza can’t be beat. No contest. But who among us is immune to the charms of frozen pizza, fresh from a hot oven or microwave, in that moment of late-night vulnerability also known as the munchies?

Thank goodness, then, for two gents named Keith and Chris, who also call themselves the “taste buds,” who took to the confines of a sensible-looking automobile and drove from home to home, friend to friend, frat party to improv show to cook up a variety of previously frozen pies to decide which reigned supreme.

We’re talking name brands any college (or heck, high school) grad knows —Freschetta, DiGiorno, Tombstone — in addition to their lesser-known, equally pepperoni-laden brethren Wild Mike’s, Jack’s, and Red Baron.

“What’s crazy,” says Chris thoughtfully, considering the 16th century, “is that there was a world without pizza. Jesus didn’t have pizza.” Today, the video notes between pizza-inspired raps, each American consumes 23 pounds of the stuff annually.
