Forget a Kiss — Hershey’s Wants to Make Out With You

Hershey’s is upping the ante heading into the holiday season — its newest product is twice the size of its iconic Kiss, and is filled with a hazelnut and rice crisps.
The Kisses Deluxe, on sale Nov. 5 through Valentine’s Day, will come wrapped in gold foil — not unlike fancy drug store chocolatier Ferrero Rocher. They will be packaged in quantities ranging from 3 to 75. The three-Kiss box will cost $1; the 75-piece gift box will be $32.
The product was first introduced in China, according to USA Today, in 2013 but it was made with wheat crisps. It was an immediate hit and drove $100M in Chinese sales last year.
The American version is being made with rice crisps so that it can be marketed as gluten-free, officials told USA Today.
The innovation is the biggest since the central Pennsylvania company added almonds to the Kisses 25 years ago.
