'Feast'! Disney's Adorable Animated Short Wins Oscar Gold

Disney took home an Oscar on Sunday for its latest animated short, Feast, and with good reason. The clip doubles as a heart monitor: If you make it through without cooing “Aww” at least once—or perhaps even bawling—it may be made of stone.

The short follows the gustatory delights of a Boston terrier named Winston, who is so darling that it hurts a little. From the trailer, we discover that Winston develops a taste for the fried and savory early in his puppyhood—French fries will do that—and later graduates to bacon and eggs, spaghetti and meatballs, and nachos. They’re all his master’s leftovers, of course.

You can catch the short in theaters if you buy a ticket to Disney’s other Oscar-winning hit, Big Hero 6—it screens before the feature—or you can opt for a small screen viewing on YouTube for $1.99.
