Chocolate-Cauliflower Smoothie Recipe from 'Superfood Smoothies'

Chocolate Smoothie with Cauliflower
Makes 2 20-ounce servings

Who knew that steamed cauliflower could make a smoothie so luscious? Like a rich, naughty chocolate milkshake that’s actually very, very nice.

1⁄4 cup Medjool dates, pitted (about 3–4 large fruits)
3 cups steamed cauliflower
1⁄4 cup cacao nibs
2 tablespoon hemp seeds
1 tablespoon cacao powder
1 ½ cups rice milk (original variety)
2 cups coconut ice
Sweetener, to taste

Blend together all the ingredients, except the ice, until smooth. Add the ice and blend once more until frosty. Taste, and sweeten if desired.

SUPERFOOD BOOST: Add 2 teaspoons maca powder.
