Before and After: A Drab Kitchen Becomes Light and Bright

by Liz Lynch

When we came across this impressive kitchen update designed by Studio McGee, we were impressed to say the least. Can you blame us? The designers took a drab, dated kitchen in their client’s ‘70s ranch-style home and, by altering the floor plan and installing timeless finishes, created a space flooded with natural light that flows seamlessly into the rooms beyond. Incorporating a desk and surrounding cabinetry along with hidden laundry machines allows the space to be multifunctional. Did you catch the stainless steel detail around the range’s hood? Chic!
