BRAD SMITH: Time now to get down to business to look at the stories making headlines this morning. Unionization efforts at Amazon gaining even more traction after the National Labor Relations Board recommended a pro-unionization vote at Amazon's Staten Island warehouse be upheld. The decision boosts an April vote from that warehouse, the only Amazon location so far to unionize. The battle is part of a wave of unionization efforts at companies like Starbucks and Activision Blizzard. And a programming note, we're chatting this very same topic with Chris Smalls, Amazon labor union president, right here, 11:30 AM, so keep it here.

Separately, Netflix picking up the tempo for its ad-supported streaming service with the launch date moving up to November. This is reported by Variety. And Netflix is hoping to get ahead of streaming rival Disney+, set to launch its own ad-supported version by December.

And staying with the stream, we're watching an epic, you could say fantastic, fight as Amazon's "Lord of the Rings" spinoff series goes head to head with Warner Brothers Discovery's own "Game of Thrones" spinoff. "The Rings of Power" series racking up a $465 million tab for Amazon, while "House of Dragon" is worth under $200 million. Now all of this is according to Variety and both shows touted as tentpoles for their respective streaming services, as Prime Video and HBO Max, they're going head to head in those streaming wars here.
