BRIAN SOZZI: Welcome back to "The First Trade." We're watching shares of Disney this morning. The company is expected to report earnings after the market closed today. Let's get right to Ines for a little preview. Ines.

INES FERRE: And Brian, Wall Street is still bullish on Disney. You have 50% of analysts with a buy or equivalent rating. You've got 46% recommending a hold and a price target of $123 per share. So that's about 6% more than the current price right now. But analysts are expecting Disney to report an adjusted loss-- of its first adjusted loss of nearly five years.

The consensus is for an adjusted loss of $0.63 a share. Its revenue is expected to have decreased 38% year over year. And, of course, a key metric will be its parks, experiences, and product segment. That includes its theme parks, its resorts, its cruise ships-- theme parks which were temporarily closed. Some of them have reopened in Asia. You've got them that they've reopened in Hong Kong.

One had a sort of start/stop there with its reopening. But you also have the Florida theme park which has reopened. In France, it's reopened. In California, it's still closed. But really the reopening is how they have been-- of course, we know that capacity has been limited-- add those theme parks. So a lot will be paid attention to the theme parks and, of course, on Disney Plus as well-- how its prescriber base has been.

We know that the latest number there has been 54 million subscribers. You had Hamilton on recently. And there have been film delays as well for Disney. So a lot will be paid attention to the guidance, which Disney will be giving for the second half of the year. Is the worst behind it? Was the last quarter the worst of the pandemic so to speak? And how will this be going forward and the consumer sentiment going forward with Disney Parks, with ESPN, as sports are starting to ramp up again? So a lot of attention will be paid to the guidance which Disney will be giving. Brian.

BRIAN SOZZI: And we'll soon find out. Ines Ferre, thanks so much.
