Local kids sell interesting lemonade flavors to learn about entrepreneurship

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – A group of New Mexico kids put their financial literacy to the test by selling special flavors of lemonade.

‘Lemonade Day’ is an event put on by the Rio Grande Educational Collaborative, designed to teach young minds what it means to be an entrepreneur.

From marketing their product to budgeting for the cups and the lemons used to make the drinks, the kids got a taste of what it is to run their own small business.

Each participant came up with their own lemonade recipe. Some flavors included green chile lemonade, blueberry iced tea lemonade, and Candyland lemonade.
