Leaning on gender stereotypes is a political minefield these days, but at the risk of finding myself cancelled, the quandary of what to buy the man in your life is a never-ending question mark.

Because men tend to shy from any degree of fuss, likewise the idea of coveting an object of desire. Which is unfortunate, because after the last 18 months, we could all use a little indulgence, even the most stoic and grimly determined that they ‘don’t need anything’.
