Avelo adds a new destination with $77 one-way fare. See which airport you can fly to.

There are now 20 destinations to choose from.

Avelo Airlines began flying non-stop Wednesday from Tweed New Haven Airport to Knoxville, Tenn.’s McGhee Tyson Airport, the airline announced.

Introductory one-way fares will begin at $77. Passengers must also pay for baggage and seat choices. Flights to Knoxville will operate on Thursdays and Sundays utilizing Boeing Next-Generation 737 aircraft.

It is the 20th destination passengers can fly to from Tweed. Five more are available for booking.

“This exclusive nonstop service makes exploring the abundance of vibrant urban and outdoor experiences … a fast and seamless journey for Connecticut visitors,” he said.

Avelo has flown 2 million travelers from Tweed since its first flight in November 2021. The airport is about 4 miles from downtown New Haven and 43 miles from Hartford.
