For many weeks, the IRS has been busy sending out $1,400 stimulus checks as part of the $1.9 trillion American Rescue Plan that was signed into law in mid-March. While more than 156 million stimulus payments have been issued to date as part of the ongoing third round, the IRS plans to send out stimulus checks on a weekly basis beginning now. The IRS is limited as to how many stimulus payments it can issue at once -- especially when it comes to physical checks.
