Zooey Deschanel and 'Property Brothers' star Jonathan Scott walk first red carpet together

This Hollywood couple just became red carpet-official.

On Sunday night, Zooey Deschanel and "Property Brothers" star Jonathan Scott made their first joint red carpet appearance at Sunday's Critics' Choice Documentary Awards in Brooklyn, New York.

Scott, 41, hosted the awards show.

“Yes, it is our first red carpet together, because she is also a huge advocate for independent films and documentary films as well,” he told People. “So, for us to come and be able to support this is very important.”

Deschanel, 39, wasn't just a guest. Inside the event, the former "New Girl" star presented the award for best music documentary, which went to "Linda Ronstadt: The Sound of My Voice."

"Apollo 11" won the overall best documentary prize, while "Toni Morrison: The Pieces I Am" won best biographical documentary.

Deschanel and Scott first met met in August while filming the series "Carpool Karaoke," which featured Deschanel, her sister, Emily, and Scott, a person familiar with the situation but not authorized to speak publicly confirmed to USA TODAY.

They've since shared cute snaps on Instagram, from a trip to Universal Studios' Halloween Horror Nights to a recent family wedding.

A week ago, Deschanel and Scott dressed up as Catwoman and Batman to attend Scott's older brother's nuptials.

"It’s the first time I’ve ever been cat-woman escorted to a fancy dress party wedding by Batman. Only for the nuptials of @mrjdscott and @annaleebelle could I be so inspired!" she wrote on Instagram. "Congrats to these gorgeous and gracious love birds, I was overjoyed to celebrate such a happy union!"

Deschanel announced her split from husband Jacob Pechenik in September.

"After much discussion and a long period of contemplation we have decided we are better off as friends, business partners and co-parents rather than life partners," Deschanel and Pechenik, 47, said in a joint statement to USA TODAY.

Deschanel and Pechenik tied the knot in June 2015, a month before welcoming their first child, daughter Elsie, 4. They also share 2-year-old son Charlie.
