The Zone of Interest streaming release date could be sometime in early 2024.

The Zone of Interest had its international premiere at Cannes on May 19, 2023. It debuted in North America on September 1, 2023, at the 50th Telluride Film Festival and is slated to have a limited US release on December 15, 2023. Another A24 film, Priscilla, is set to make its streaming rental debut on December 15, 2023, after releasing in the US theaters six to seven weeks earlier. If the same pattern is followed with The Zone of Interest, it can start streaming in early 2024.

The Zone of Interest is set in the ’40s and revolves around Auschwitz Commandant Rudolf Höss and his family, leading an idyllic life in a spacious house. Rudolf’s wife ignores the atrocities happening near them, content with the dream life she believes she has.

The film was directed by Jonathan Glazer, and the cast includes Christian Friedel as Rudolf Höss, Sandra Hüller as Hedwig Höss, Johann Karthaus as Claus Höss, Luis Noah Witte as Hans Höss, Nele Ahrensmeier as Inge-Brigitt Höss, Lilli Falk as Heideraud Höss, Medusa Knopf as Elfryda, and more.

Is The Zone of Interest coming out on HBO Max?

The Zone of Interest will be available to watch via streaming on HBO Max.

It was reported in December 2023 that A24, which has the US distribution rights to The Zone of Interest, had signed a deal with Warner Bros. Discovery that would make the former company’s slate of films available on HBO Max, HBO, and Cinemax.

Current HBO Max subscribers and viewers with access to HBO and Cinemax should be able to watch the film when it airs. HBO Max has several offers available for its prospective subscribers. The basic plan (with Ads) costs $9.99 a month and $99.99 a year, the Ad-Free plan costs $15.99 a month and $149.99 a year, and the Ultimate Ad-Free plan costs $19.99 a month and $199.99 a year. The viewers can add HBO Max to their Amazon Prime Video and Hulu subscription with an additional $15.99 a month.

The Zone of Interest’s official synopsis reads:
