No, Zoe Saldaña did not attend the 49th AFI Life Achievement Award with a body double — she was joined by her look-alike sister, Cisely Saldaña.

The duo were the spitting image of one another at the Los Angeles awards ceremony on Saturday, April 27, donning coordinating patterned outfits. Zoe, 45, looked regal in a sculptural floor-length black gown with an asymmetrical neckline and silver chain details printed on the bodice and down the skirt. The Avatar actress’ hair was pulled back into a sleek bun and she accessorized with silver earrings and black pointed-toe pumps.

Cisely opted for a black midi dress with a red and white floral pattern along with black tights and white pointed-toe pumps. Her shoulder length hair was styled into loose waves and she accented the look with a red lip.

The sisters were all smiles as they posed for photos on the red carpet. Inside the event, Zoe took the stage to honor Nicole Kidman, the 2024 recipient of the AFI Lifetime Achievement Award. Meryl Streep, a past recipient of the award, presented Kidman with the honor. Other presenters included Reese Witherspoon, Naomi Watts and Zac Efron, all of whom are past collaborators of Kidman.

Zoe and Kidman appeared together in the 2023 limited series Special Ops: Lioness.

Cisely is Zoe’s youngest sister. Along with their oldest sister, Mariel, they launched a film production company called Cinestar in 2013. All three women serve as producers on the company’s projects.

“We want to create content where you feel celebrated, you feel seen, you feel educated, you are entertained and that you feel compelled enough by the content we’re creating that you wanna reach out to us and keep pointing us in the right direction,” Zoe said in a video explaining why the sisters founded Cinestar.

The company releases “reality rom-coms,” which are unscripted, documentary-style feature films that follow real women on dating adventures in different cities. Their first idea came to fruition with the release of 2023’s Meet Me In Paris, followed with the sequel, Meet Me In Rome, in February 2024.

Both films were team efforts with Witherspoon’s media company, Hello Sunshine.

Cinestar has also released films like 2018’s The Honor List, which starred Karrueche Tran, Sasha Pieterse and Arden Cho, and shows like Netflix’s From Scratch and HBO Max’s Gordita Chronicles.
