Zoe Kazan felt it was time to speak her mind.

A few hours after news broke that Jian Ghomeshi had been cleared of sexual assault charges, the actress took to Twitter to lament the lack of justice in the case. (ICYMI, multiple women claimed that the former Canadian Broadcasting Corporation radio host had sexually assaulted them, but the judge determined that the women were not credible due to inconsistencies in their stories.)

A clearly frustrated and disheartened Kazan posted a series of five tweets revealing her own experience with Ghomeshi.

She concluded her Twitter session by reflecting on how her own experience paled in comparison to that of so many others.

Ghomeshi was cleared of four counts of sexual assault and one count of overcoming resistance by choking. While the judge certainly didn’t imply that Ghomeshi was innocent, he essentially said that because of a lack of consistency in the witnesses’ statements, his hands were tied.

“I am forced to conclude that it is impossible for the court to have sufficient faith in the reliability or sincerity of these complainants,” Judge William Horkins explained. “Put simply, the volume of serious deficiencies in the evidence leaves the court with a reasonable doubt.” He added, however, “that is not the same as deciding in any positive way that these events never happened.”

Something tells us Kazan isn’t the only woman unsatisfied with this outcome.
