Duke forward Zion Williamson, who is recovering from a Grade 1 right knee sprain he suffered against No. 8 North Carolina last Wednesday, will not play Saturday night against Syracuse, according to Yahoo Sports’ Pat Forde.

Williamson was listed as day-to-day when he limped off the court Wednesday after ripping his shoe and falling on the hardwood in pain. Recovering from a Grade 1 right knee sprain will take time, so there’s no surprise that Williamson cannot step on the court with his Duke teammates to battle Syracuse.

Williamson, who many consider to be the No. 1 pick in this year’s NBA Draft, may not play again this season. In fact, there’s a huge debate about whether he should sit out for the rest of the season. This season, Williamson is averaging an eye-popping 21.6 points, 8.8 rebounds, and 2.2 assists.
