Zendaya can't stop, won't stop serving up tennis fashion as she continues her Challengers world tour. After opting for tennis ball-embellished shoes by Loewe, a blingy tennis net two-piece set from legacy tennis brand Lacoste, and a sleek no-shirt suiting look, she arrived at the film's London premiere in what may just be the most literal court-inspired look yet.

Wednesday's look included a custom Thom Browne dress that featured a backless, halter bodice with a polo-shirt-style collar and a box-pleat skirt that flashed the brand's signature red, white, and blue detailing. The preppy gown also included an all-over tennis racquet motif, a drop-waist embellished with a neat bow, and a thigh-high slit that showed off Zendaya's go-to pointy pumps.

She finished the look with a long, trailing bow in her hair, which was worn in a tight braid, and Bvlgari jewelry. She also opted for a red lip color, bringing a bit of unexpected glam to the country club-ready outfit.

Zendaya's method dressing has been her fashion M.O. since the Dune: Part Two tour, where she leaned into sci-fi-inspired looks. While the fashion was awe-inspiring and perfectly on-theme, it wasn't always comfortable. In a recent video for Vogue, Zendaya explained that she nearly passed out when she wore an archival Mugler robot suit from 1995.

“Immediately, I think after wearing it for like 10 minutes or less than that, I got really lightheaded,” she said of the look. “The metal conducts and holds onto heat very quickly and kind of traps heat in. I'm wearing a complete bodysuit, so there's a barrier, so you already have a layer of material kind of on your skin.”

Zendaya may be a household name to many, but her Spider-Man producers admitted that they didn't know who she was when they cast her as MJ in 2017.

“To be honest with you, neither [Marvel Studios president] Kevin Feige nor I knew who she was,” producer Amy Pascal told Vogue. “She was wearing no makeup and she was just dressed like a regular girl, and we were like, ‘Oh my God, she’s amazing. She has to be in the movie.’ And then we found out she was a totally famous person, and felt really stupid.”

At the time, Zendaya had a long string of Disney Channel hits, including Shake It Up and K.C. Undercover. Euphoria, which earned her two Emmy wins, would go on to premiere in 2019. Feige implied that fans can expect her to reprise her role in a fourth Spider-Man film alongside her boyfriend, Tom Holland. However, he didn't offer up a timeline for the next installment of the beloved franchise.

“All I will say is that we have the story,” he told Entertainment Weekly in February 2023. “We have big ideas for that, and our writers are just putting pen to paper now.”
