Zendaya In Talks For ‘Dune’ Reboot At Legendary

Former Disney star Zendaya (Shake It Up) is in early talks to join the cast of the Denis Villeneuve-directed Dune reboot which is setup at Legendary Entertainment. The word is she’s circling the role of Chani, the love interest of Paul Atreides played by Timothee Chalamet. Rebecca Ferguson, Dave Bautista, Stellan Skarsgård and Charlotte Rampling have signed on to co-star while Oscar Isaac is also in talks to join the cast. Villeneuve, Eric Roth, and Jon Spaihts penned the script based on Frank Herbert’s sci-fi novels. Zendaya, repped by CAA, will reprise her role of MJ in Sony’s Spider-Man: Far From Home sequel and toplines the HBO teen drama series Euphoria, from Sam Levinson, with Drake and Future the Prince serving as executive producers.
