A Role Model

Between her roles as MJ in the Spider-Man franchise and her heartbreaking turn as Rue on Euphoria, Zendaya is putting in the world of diversifying her career in a beautiful way. On top of that, the actress is using her platform to speak out on a number of important issues, including body image, inclusivity, and mental health.

Honored At Elle's Women In Hollywood Event

While attending Elle's Women In Hollywood event, Zendaya was interviewed by Access Hollywood on the red carpet, and she was asked how she manages anxiety while maintaining a high profile career. To the surprise of no one who follows her career, she had a lovely and thoughtful answer.

"I’m a natural perfectionist, so I always want to do the right thing and be the best that I can."

A Natural Perfectionist

She continued, explaining that we're all trying our best.

"I think we’re all kind of on a journey learning how to be more patient and kind to ourselves and allow ourselves the space to exist. It’s something that I’m learning and figuring out."

It's important for young people to have people to look up to that are open and honest about their emotional and mental well being, and Zendaya is certainly proving herself to be an excellent role model.
