Zendaya Sets the Record Straight on Rumored Romance With Odell Beckham Jr.
Just because Odell Beckham Jr. showed up to a Grammys afterparty arm in arm with Zendaya doesn’t mean he’s earned “boyfriend” status just yet. The two first sparked rumors that they were dating after posing for a few couple-ish pics following the awards show on Feb. 15. Now Zendaya is setting the record straight.
During an interview with New York’s 92.3 AMP Radio on Thursday, the 19-year-old actress revealed that her post-Grammys photo op with the New York Giants star “wasn’t really a date.” Zendaya said the two “went to some events together” because they’re “friends,” but explained that they “were with a group.”
And if Odell, 23, wants to take things any further, he’s going to have to clear it with her father first. The former Disney Channel star insisted that “just because you’re in the NFL, you killin’ stuff, that doesn’t mean you get to skip past pops.” Zendaya even cracked that the football pro is still in the “auditioning” phase.
