Zendaya’s really out here challenging us to smash our spring ’fits.

The actress, 27, has recently been nailing her looks during her whirlwind press tour for her new movie Challengers. From balling in a pair of literal tennis ball heels to stunting in a floor-length Loewe gown that featured a life-like shadow to wearing a functional tennis skirt while on a date with Tom Holland, she’s single handedly bringing back the tenniscore aesthetic that other celebrities have been known to wear, too.

Some of Zendaya’s takes on tenniscore might not actually be wearable to swing around a racket, but typically that’s what the aesthetic is all about: It’s comfortable for movement, but still stylish enough to be spotted at a country club — it’s more preppy than a pair of basketball shorts or a muscle tank top.

Last year, Hilary Duff wore an Alo Yoga tennis skirt to, well, hit the tennis courts — and it was this exact style from the brand. It has thin pleats that look more trim than the ones seen on a cheerleading skirt, and it has a thick waistband for support and a dig-free experience while exercising. It also has built-in shorts for protection, and according to one shopper, “The airlift material is light and airy while still holding everything in.” It’s also like the less glamorous version of the one Zendaya just wore on the red carpet.

This athletic dress, which starts at $27, is a fuss-free option for the days you want to strategize which top to wear with what bottoms. It’s got short sleeves for more sun protection and a polo-like neckline, which we recently spotted on Jennifer Garner. Pick from among 20 colors and patterns and sizes XS to 3X — the light pink reminds us of Hannah Ann Sluss’ Alo Yoga tennis dress.

Tenniscore doesn’t just apply to the things you’d wear while playing tennis, but also the items you’d wear while watching a tennis match. These shorts are channeling Nicole Kidman at the U.S. Open back in September. But they have stripes, so they’re honestly a first-class lookalike for the pair Zendaya just wore, though sizes are going fast. Wear them with a blue button-up like the star or make the look more feminine with a frilly blouse like Laura Dern’s.

Zendaya’s new movie is about to be a hit — and so is tenniscore. Keep scrolling to shop more on-trend pieces, including a red tank top that looks similar to the one in the trailer, on-sale Lululemon sneakers, and more.
