Zendaya’s ‘Challengers’ costars discuss her star power

While promoting their new film “Challengers,” Zendaya’s costars Josh O’Connor and Mike Faist couldn’t deny her star power.

“You can’t be a movie star unless you’re a brilliant actor and Z is,” O’Connor told KTLA 5’s Sam Rubin.

He explained that the “Euphoria” actress has the star quality, which he equates to “pixie dust.”

While she is flattered by the praise, Zendaya did call it “nerve-wracking.”

“It’s a different chapter, something new for me,” she explained. “I will say that the joys of this is not just being able to bring the characters to life, but also with the people that you work with.”

She touted working alongside Faist and O’Connor, director Luca Guadagnino and screenwriter Justin Kuritzkes.

Zendaya exclaimed that she’s excited for the world to see her costars’ talent differently in this new project because she thinks their performances are “brilliant.”

“I really enjoyed watching them and working with them and I’m really excited about that.”

“Challengers” hits theaters on April 26.
