Zendaya is known to cosplay her characters on the red carpet—whether she's channeling Chani in intergalactic princess-wear or Challengers' Tashi in tenniscore. And it seems, however, that the actress doesn't just reserve the method dressing for her roles. On Thursday, Zendaya attended the opening night of her boyfriend Tom Holland's production of Romeo and Juliet at the London's Duke of York’s Theatre in a Shakespeare-coded gown.

The couple was seen departing the theater hand-in-hand following his performance, and Zendaya looked perfectly dressed to the theme in a shimmery black regencycore ballgown from Andreas Kronthaler for Vivienne Westwood's spring 2023 ready-to-wear collection. The dress featured a voluminous skirt, statement sleeves, a lace-up corseted midsection, and tiny sequin details all over. Black Christian Louboutin boots peeked out from under the gown and the actress finished accessorizing with a regal ruby pendant layered choker and tiny hoop earrings.

Since they first started dating in 2021, the two stars have been coy about their relationship, keeping it mostly out of the public eye. On occasion, however, they've offered rare glimpses into their romance. Just last month, Zendaya spoke to Vogue about Holland's return to London's West End saying she “could not be more proud." She added, "I’m going to try to see as many shows as I possibly can."

She also recalled watching Holland's life change "overnight" after starring alongside him in Spider-Man. “We were both very, very young, but my career was already kind of going, and his changed overnight. One day, you’re a kid, and you’re at the pub with your friends, and then the next day, you’re Spider-Man,” she said. “I definitely watched his life kind of change in front of him. But he handled it really beautifully.”
