The long-rumored The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Switch OLED was allegedly leaked today, but it turns out that the images doing the rounds on Twitter aren’t legitimate. This follows the controversial artbook leak for the upcoming game, which saw many images and details for the RPG surfacing online.

Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Switch OLED leaks aren’t real

The images allegedly revealing the new Switch OLED were posted by Twitter user @huajiulinkl, who has previously posted information pertaining to the recent Tears of the Kingdom artbook leaks. The images depicted a new version of the handheld and its dock, each boasting symbols familiar to Zelda fans such as the Triforce and Hylian writing.

However, despite the images already circulating online, it turns out that they were actually lifted from fan art posted on the Chinese social network Weibo (via Reddit). Judging by comments posted by the creator, the images were based on existing materials — presumably, the alleged Switch OLED leaks that were posted back in 2022.

So although the renders posted on Twitter aren’t legitimate, they may at least represent a better look at the Tears of the Kingdom Switch OLED leak outside of the grainy images of marketing material we’ve received so far.
