Zayn Malik Potentially Revealed the Truth About a Famous Taylor Swift Conspiracy Theory

It’s been a good month for conspiracy theorists. Just days after Avril Lavigne addressed her infamous Doppelgänger theory, another pop-culture conspiracy gem has been revealed to us: the suitcase-travelling ventures of Taylor Swift, by none none other than 1D alum Zayn Malik.

In June 2017, the Internet collectively gasped over rumors of Taylor Swift traveling in a distinctly unglamorous fashion in order to avoid the paparazzi outside her Tribeca apartment. That is, she was suspected to be transporting herself around in a massive black suitcase, which at the time did not seem too farfetched (other than the obvious) since she had been keeping out of the public eye for a while.

The pics and theory first appeared on Splash News, per Spin 1038, and although they had to retract the claim a mere month later, the images stuck with the Internet. But, did Zayn really actually just confirmed the precious cargo the two men pictured were hauling?

Could very well be so. In his recent interview with British Vogue, while casually discussing his past and future, the singer let slipped what fans believe is confirmation of the theory. “She was travelling around in a suitcase,” Zayn, with “eyes agog,” told British Vogue of Taylor’s presumed ploy to avoid the paparazzi.

To our despair, Zayn didn’t give any additional details other than the cryptic yet revealing phrase. And it's definitely possible Zayn was making a coy reference to the alleged incident, rather than confirming that the rumor was actually true.

We know Taylor is seasoned in avoiding paparazzi but do her stealth talents go this far? I guess we’ll have to wait to hear it from the “Bad Blood” singer first, but her reputation does indeed precede her.
