Zach Bryan Looks Back on His Youth with New Song “Pink Skies”: Stream

Zach Bryan has returned with “Pink Skies,” his first official single of 2024. Stream the track below.
On the country ballad, Bryan pays tribute to the loved ones who are no longer with us and encourages younger listeners to take advantage of their youth. “The kids are in town for a funeral,” he sings. “So pack the car and dry your eyes/ I know they got plenty of young blood left in ’em/ And plenty nights under pink skies.”
“Pink Skies” arrived hours after Bryan’s latest updates about his upcoming album, The Great American Bar Scene. On Twitter, he said the project will be “16 songs and a poem” while describing it as a “depressed and hopeful summer vacation.”
He added, “Guys I’m teasing no body [sic], I write and record music reckless and fast, just got the record finished so it’ll be dropped on someone’s head any day now.”
Last month, Bryan dropped a pair of YouTube-only releases titled “Like Ida” and “28.” Check those out below.
Bryan released two studio projects last year: a self-titled studio album (featuring his first No. 1 hit, “I Remember Everything” with Kacey Musgraves) and his fall EP Boys of Faith featuring contributions from Noah Kahan and Bon Iver.
He’ll be on the road throughout North America on his “Quittin Time Tour” through December; get tickets here.
