Zac Efron’s Heartfelt Compliment to Tom Cruise
On BBC’s The Graham Norton Show, Baywatch star Zac Efron gave a sincere and heartfelt compliment to Tom Cruise. Tom Cruise was also on The Graham Norton Show, along with his The Mummy costar Annabelle Wallis.
Efron launched into a compliment. “Throughout your career, Tom, you’re known for action. You’re known for being the man, the go-to guy for so many different genres, and you’ve mastered them all.”
He went on to list all the technical abilities Cruise has mastered and continued, “The one thing you consistently do that is magnificent is maintain a character with an arc all the way through a film. And I learn from you every single time I watch a movie. And I study your work.”
Cruise graciously accepted the compliment.
Graham Norton quipped, “Those are beautiful words, Zac. And I ask you, would you like a part in Top Gun 2?… I’m not saying he didn’t mean it, I’m sure he meant it.”
Tom Cruise then stood up and gave Zac the famous Top Gun double high-five, while saying, “I feel the need, the need for speed.”
