Zac Efron Pictured Looking Healthy Just Hours After Hospital Release
Zac Efron has been seen for the first time since he was rushed to a hospital, on the brink of death, over the Christmas holiday.
In photos, obtained by The Blast, Efron showed up to the opening of a 'Vejo' location on Saturday looking very healthy and back to normal.

The actor was very low-key during the event where they were opening a new Vejo shop in Los Angele. The event came just hours after he was released from a hospital after contracting a blood infection while filming a new documentary series in Papua New Guinea.
According to local reports, Efron was rushed from the island to a hospital in Brisbane, Australia for life-saving treatment. It was reported he contracted some "form of typhoid or similar bacterial infection" while filming the series. Zac was hospitalized for several days before getting the clearance to fly home. The Director of Medical Resue, Dr. Glenn McKay, oversaw Efron's flight to Australia, told The Mirror, confirmed they 'retrieved a US citizen in his 30s from PNG to Brisbane for medical attention in Australia.'
The specific infection (Salmonella Typhi) can be spread through contaminated water or food. It is known that travelers to this part of the world can contract it through eating or drinking in Papua New Guinea. In some cases, Typhoid can be preventable by receiving a vaccine.
Actor Contracts 'Typhoid' Type Infection
It is not a fun experience if you get the infection, symptoms include stomach pains, diarrhea, high fever, and headaches.
Zac has been in PNG filing a new docuseries called, 'Killing Zac Efron' which will follow him deep into the jungle of a remote and dangerous part of the area. According to reports, he was 'off the grid' for 21 days for the series.
