YouTuber Abhradeep 'Angry Rantman' Saha Dead at 27 After Complications from 'Major' Surgery

Popular YouTuber Abhradeep Saha — known online as "Angry Rantman" — has died at age 27.

The content creator — who rose to fame for his passionate rants and analyses of soccer, cricket and other sports — died April 16, his family announced.

“With profound grief and sorrow, we hereby declare the sad and untimely demise of Abhradeep Saha AKA #AngryRantman today at 10:18 hrs IST,” his family said in a statement posted to his social media accounts. “He touched the lives of millions with his Honesty, humour and unwavering spirit. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.”

“As we mourn his loss, let us remember the joy he brought to our lives and hold on to the cherished memories we share together. Inspiring change one rant at a time,” the family added.

Saha’s death comes after he underwent a “major surgery” in March and was dealing with complications from the undisclosed procedure, according to a series of posts from his family on his YouTube Community page.

“Surgery went well just post surgery complications let’s all pray for his recovery god bless!!!” they said at the time.

In early April, his family returned and said the star was in the intensive care unit, adding, “Let’s hope for the best.” On April 14, another update stated that Saha was in a “really critical situation” and on life support as his family prayed for his recovery.

Following his death, many professional soccer teams shared heartfelt tributes for the YouTuber.

“The BFC family is saddened to learn about the passing of #IndianFootball faithful Abhradeep Saha,” Bengaluru FC wrote on X, formerly Twitter. “A West Block Blue through and through, Abhradeep's love for the game knew no bounds and the passion in his rants will be missed. Rest in peace. #WeAreBFC #ForeverBlue.”

Kerala Blasters FC also wrote, “Today, we mourn the loss of one of the most enthusiastic and passionate voices in Indian football. We will dearly miss his memorable rants and love for the beautiful game.”
