You're gonna want to see this delightful meme starring Tessa Thompson and … goats

As much as you might think that you like goats, actress Tessa Thompson is even crazier about them. No, really.

Let’s explain. In February, the actress known for her roles in Westworld, Creed, and Thor: Ragnarok was asked about her favorite animal in an interview with British website ShortList. She was emphatic in her response.

“I’m really, really fond of goats. I want to adopt a pygmy goat and name it Gal Dagoat, because Wonder Woman rocks,” Thompson said. “Goats are huge now, on the internet, but I’ve been a fan for ages. It’s like when your favorite indie band starts getting recognition. I’m happy, but also … stay away from my goats, you know?”

The internet being the internet, it promptly went and did its thing. Someone started a clever Twitter account with side-by-side photos of Thompson and goats in similar garments or poses. Other people began making similar memes, and Thompson got to retweeting.

The result is kind of hilarious and completely cute. Did we mention how much Thompson is loving it, based on her flurry of tweet responses?

Halfway through her joy session, Thompson admitted that her obsession was out of control.

But she still couldn’t stop.

Neither could fans, apparently.

No one really minds, though, right?
