Young ‘Hollywood Medium’ Doesn’t Know Who Anyone in Hollywood Is
On Monday night, E! offered a sneak peek of a new show, Hollywood Medium With Tyler Henry. If you’re not sure what you’d be getting yourself into by watching this program, you can deduce some info from clues in the title. The star’s name is Tyler, which lets you know he’s a millennial, and he’s a “Hollywood medium,” which tells you he gives psychic readings to a wide range of Hollywood types. But what sets this young psychic show apart from other young psychic shows, it seems, is that Tyler doesn’t know who anyone in Hollywood is, admitting, “I’m just not very pop-culture-savvy.”
He’s only 19, so it’s not entirely shocking that he doesn’t realize right away that he’s in the home of ’80s legend and Culture Club frontman Boy George, and he doesn’t instantly recognize the name of former NBA great John Salley’s friend Heavy D, of hip-hop fame. But when he doesn’t know who one of the stars of among the biggest films of the 1990s is, it may have made you wonder if any of the spirits from beyond can see whether or not there’ll be a Season 2 for Tyler Henry.
Hollywood Medium with Tyler Henry premieres Jan. 24 at 10 p.m. on E!
