Queens of the Stone Age frontman Josh Homme’s benefit concert for the Sweet Stuff Foundation on Wednesday (March 20th) at The Belasco in Los Angeles was an epic event. One of the many highlights was his son Ryder’s band Vivant performing classics by Led Zeppelin and Black Sabbath.

As we reported on Thursday, “Josh Homme & Friends: A Benefit for the Sweet Stuff Foundation” featured a drum-off between Dave Grohl and Chad Smith, plus performances from Beck, St. Vincent, and more, not to mention comedy from Sarah Silverman and Bill Burr.

Vivant, featuring 12-year-old Ryder Homme behind the drum kit alongside his fellow young bandmates, rocked Led Zeppelin’s “Immigrant Song” (watch below) and Black Sabbath’s “War Pigs.”

Back in December at another benefit show, Ryder played tambourine onstage alongside his dad and Queens of the Stone Age members Troy Van Leeuwen and Michael Shuman for a rendition of QOTSA’s “Into the Hollow.”

Speaking of Queens of the Stone Age, the band will embark on a Canadian tour beginning April 1st in Calgary, followed by a run of US shows in May, including a few festival dates. Tickets to QOTSA’s upcoming shows are available here.
