On Tuesday night, Lionel Richie stood proudly by daughter Nicole Richie's side at premiere of her film Don't Tell Mom the Babysitter's Dead in Los Angeles.

After walking the red carpet with Richie and her children — daughter Harlow and son Sparrow — he took his spot inside the theater, posting several applause emojis on his Instagram Stories and tagging the 42-year-old.

"She turned into a fantastic young lady," the 74-year-old singer told PEOPLE in 2022, calling his eldest a "godsend."
