New York City Rolls Out David Bowie Subway Cards

Commute with the Thin White Duke

While New York City subway fare cards are typically nondescript, the Metropolitan Transit Authority occasionally collaborates on eye-catching, limited-edition runs of cards; last year saw them roll out “Twin Peaks” and Supreme-branded ones. Now, New Yorkers have the chance to acquire subway cards with David Bowie’s face on them, as Brooklyn Vegan points out. Check them out below. Additionally, the Broadway-Lafayette subway station in Manhattan has been transformed into a sort of tribute to Bowie, by advertisements for the “David Bowie Is” exhibit at Brooklyn Museum, which can be found everywhere throughout the station.
