Baseball legend Yogi Berra appeared in several Major League Baseball seasons, both as a player and coach. Often considered one of the greatest athletes of all time, he won the American League Most Valuable Player Award thrice and was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1972.

According to MLB’s official website, Yogi Berra won 10 World Series rings as a player. He predominantly represented the New York Yankees and played in 75 World Series games. Additionally, in the Fall Classic, his OPS stood at .811 OPS because he hit an impressive 12 home runs and 39 RBIs. People knew Berra as a clutch hitter and catcher when he played for the Yankees. Pitchers like Allie Reynolds and Don Larsen loved having him on their side because of his quality-catching ability. Interestingly, he once went errorless in 148 games. In 1951, he caught two no-hitters with Reynolds as a pitcher; however, five years later, his team created World Series history.

In the 1956 World Series, he didn’t miss a single catch when Don Larsen was pitching. This resulted in the tournament’s only perfect game in history. While catching is what made Berra famous, his ball-hitting skills were nothing less than exceptional. From 1949 to 55, even though his team had star batters like Mickey Mantle and Joe DiMaggio, he had the most RBIs for the Yankees. To this day, people remember him as a fearless hitter who didn’t fail to connect even when the ball came near his ankles or eyes.

The 2022 documentary titled It Ain’t Over delved deep into the life and glorious career of Yogi Berra. This 1 hour 39-minute project’s director and writer was Sean Mullin.
