Yo Gabba Gabba! Revival Lands Release Date at Apple TV+ — Plus, Get a First Look at the New Host

Yo, did you hear the good news? Yo Gabba Gabba! is coming back to TV.

A revival of the beloved Nickelodeon kids’ show titled Yo Gabba GabbaLand! will premiere Friday, Aug. 9 on Apple TV+, the streamer announced on Wednesday. The new series brings back original characters Brobee, Foofa, Muno, Toodee and Plex and also introduces a new host: Kammy Kam, played by 12-year-old Kamryn Smith. (The original Yo Gabba Gabba! was hosted by DJ Lance Rock, played by Lance Robertson.)

Yo Gabba GabbaLand! “invites audiences to explore a magical world of endless possibilities and promise, with friends both familiar and new, in a reimagining that brings to life an expansive Yo Gabba GabbaLand, filled with optimism and fun, where kids and families are taught life lessons through song and dance that allows them to learn, laugh and grow together,” according to the official description.

Debuting on Nickelodeon in 2007, Yo Gabba Gabba! ran for four seasons and featured colorful songs and sketches that taught its young viewers important life skills, with lots of dancing in between. The show co-starred rap icon Biz Markie and hosted a wide array of musical guest stars from indie rock, R&B and hip-hop like Weezer, The Killers, My Chemical Romance, The Roots, Erykah Badu, The Shins, MGMT and Mos Def.

The new Yo Gabba GabbaLand! will also welcome a host of guest stars including Reggie Watts, Sam Richardson, Gillian Jacobs, Utkarsh Ambudkar, Chelsea Peretti, Lauren Lapkus, Diplo and Flea.
