YG, Tyga Team Up With Lil Wayne For “Brand New” Music Video

Tyga and YG teamed up with Lil Wayne for their latest single, “Brand New.” The trio dropped off visuals for the song on Friday (Sept. 29). Saweetie makes a cameo appearance at the beginning of the video, asking for all the latest drip.

Jack Bridgland directed the visuals, which are predominantly set in a warehouse. The three men spit in different sections of the dimly lit facility for each of their respective verses. Other men in the background can be seen lifting weights, while women eating lollipops begin to strut in front of the camera.

Lyrically, Lil Wayne had the standout verse on the track. Weezy appears in vintage form on the Mike Crook and DJ Swish-produced cut. While all three men rhyme about money and women, the Young Money boss’ clever punchlines give his delivery that classic feel.

“Brand new AP in HD/These diamonds be talkin’ in they sleep/You know not to test me like SAT,” he begins. “They pay me like RiRi, A-S-A-P/Hotter than AZ, cool as an AC/Yeah, my diamonds gon’ sing, like do-re-mi/Yeah, my diamonds gon’ dance, like my bro CB/And I pop two X, that’s Dos Equis/Yeah, brand new money, brand new hundreds/Got a bunch of zeros like a bag of new Funyuns.”

“Brand New” is the fourth single from Tyga and YG’s collaborative album, Hit Me When U Leave The Klub: The Playlist. Previously, the duo released a barrage of tracks to support their latest work. These singles included “West Coast Weekend” featuring Blxst, “Platinum,” and “PARTy T1M3.” Hit Me When U Leave The Klub: The Playlist dropped on Friday (Sept. 29).
