‘Yellowstone’ Star Says Fans Can Expect the 'Best Series Finale in History'

Taylor Sheridan and his team have been tight-lipped about the final episodes of Yellowstone. (Or in the words of Cole Hauser, they're "keeping everything pretty close to the vest.") Still, fans can rest assured that it will definitely be worth the wait.

How do I know this? Two words: Ian Bohen. The 47-year-old actor, who plays Ryan in the neo-Western series, recently teased a major update about Yellowstone season five part two while speaking with Entertainment Tonight, adding that it just might be the "best series finale in history."

Bohen said, "The fans are going to get the [best] conclusion that could possibly be written. Everything will land in a way that is perfectly set. A lot of shows just kind of finish...and they don't satisfy you. This will be completed in a way that it will make sense."

He also confirmed that the bar's been set pretty high for the finale. He added, "I don't know that any show has finished this strongly ever. We're expecting to have the best series finale in history. Overconfident maybe, but I think that's what it's going to be. We thank everyone for their patience... It'll be worth the wait, I promise."

The Emmy-nominated series, which follows the misadventures of the Dutton family as they fight to protect their massive Montana ranch, became such a huge success that it spawned two successful spin-offs (1883 and 1923), with three more on the way (6666, 1944 and 2024).

While discussing the show's legacy and impact, Bohnen told ET, "When people talk about what the show means to them, it makes you feel like you're part of something much bigger than just an entertainment product. It touches people in a way that is different than just something that they're fans of. It's a cultural phenomenon... It makes you feel like the work that you're doing is more important than you ever thought it would be."

Originally, the remaining six episodes were scheduled to air in summer 2023, then pushed back to November 2023 due to scheduling conflicts with Kevin Costner. Now, it's confirmed that fans will reunite with the Duttons in November 2024.
