Cole Hauser is mourning the death of his mother, Cass Warner.

The Yellowstone star shared a photo on Instagram Wednesday of himself and his mom riding horses as he announced her death.

"It is with a heavy heart that my mother Cass Sperling Warner passed away at the age of 76," he wrote in a caption. "Her kindness, love, humor and amazing spirit will be missed by not only my family but the world. You have touched so many."

"I know you will be up in the heavens sitting next to all the great humans that have passed through our earth," Hauser, 48, added in the caption. "We will meet again. Bye for now."

Hauser's mother Cass was the daughter of film producer Milton Sperling and Betty Warner Sheinbaum; her grandfather, Harry Warner, was one of the four founders of Warner Bros., which was formed in 1923 and remains one of Hollywood's largest companies.

Cass wrote a biography of Warner Bros. titled The Brothers Warner and also wrote, produced, directed and narrated an accompanying documentary film about the studio released in 2007, per her biography on Warner Sisters' website. Cass founded Warner Sisters, her own production company, while working on the biography and documentary, according to the company's website.

Cass frequently shared photos of Hauser, his wife Cynthia Daniel and the couple's three children Ryland, Colt and Steely Rose to her Instagram page, where she referred to herself as a "3rd generation filmmaker, author, mother, Nona, concerned citizen, Rip’s mom," in her biography. Hauser plays Rip Wheeler on the hit series Yellowstone.

"Can you hear we have the future! Good souls coming up the line," she wrote alongside a photo of Hauser and Daniel's sons Ryland, 19, and Colt, 15, shared to Instagram back in January.

The image was Cass' most recent upload. "So very proud of them—Ryland and Colt. They well done job by Mr. Cole and sweet Cynthia!"

Cass spoke with Variety in April 2023 for the outlet's feature story on the 100th anniversary of Warner Bros.' founding.

“The family had two extraordinary visionaries in Sam and Harry,” she told the outlet of her grandfather Harry and his brother Sam, who co-founded the company with their brothers Jack and Albert. She added that her grandfather "would be thrilled to see all the new ways that people can communicate with each other."

Hauser has shared photos of himself and his mother on Instagram in the past; back in May 2021, he posted a childhood photo of himself smiling with Cass to celebrate Mother's Day.

"Happy Mother’s Day momma! @casss.warner to many more years together on this planet," he wrote at the time.
