Giddy up, readers, because Yellowstone is rolling right along through Season Two on CBS. The western drama remains one of the most popular shows on cable television, even though the Paramount Network is airing reruns. A whopping 52 percent of the network's audience is completely new to the series, according to Deadline. And get this: nearly 21.6 million viewers watched at least one episode over the past few Sunday nights. While many fans are waiting for new episodes of Yellowstone, they've still been able to reminisce on CBS.

If you're new to the franchise, Yellowstone is deep into Season Five. Multiple factors have delayed the production of the series, to the point that Paramount is now running reruns on cable. But the main cause is due to a feud behind-the scenes. Creator Taylor Sheridan and lead actor Kevin Costner are currently embroiled in a battle about filming schedules, money, and certain creative decisions that we won't spoil here. Combined with the SAG-AFTRA strike, the delay has effectually shut down all production on Yellowstone and its various spinoffs.

So, viewers have turned back the clock to Season Two on CBS. The Dutton family ranch is facing new enemies, Kayce just became the new livestock officer, and Rip and Beth are just starting to form a new relationship. The season premiere hit around 2.4 million viewers when it first aired, but Yellowstone now holds around 5.9 million weekly viewers. As far as anyone watching CBS knows, Yellowstone reruns may have been the best decision Paramount has ever made.
