The drama around Taylor Sheridan's Yellowstone universe does not seem to be fading—on-screen or off. Cole Brings Plenty, who played Pete Plenty Clouds on the spinoff series, 1923, has been found dead in Kansas, according to a press release posted on the Johnson County Sheriff's Office Facebook page and X (formerly Twitter) feed.

Cole, 27, was the nephew of Mo Brings Plenty, who plays Mo and also serves as a cultural consultant on Yellowstone. Mo had shared a missing persons poster on his Instagram feed Tuesday encouraging anyone with information on Cole's whereabouts to contact Lawrenceville, Kansas, law enforcement.

Unfortunately, the search ended on Friday when Johnson County Sheriff’s Office deputies in Olathe, Kansas, found a male dead in a wooded area near W. 200th Street and Homestead Lane, according to a release. The victim was later identified as Cole Brings Plenty.

No cause of death has been released but Brings Plenty was wanted in connection with a domestic violence investigation. Police had been called after neighbors allegedly heard a woman screaming for help on Easter Sunday.

According to the police department's post on Facebook, Cole Brings Plenty fled the scene after police were called. Traffic cameras showed him heading out of town in a white 2005 Ford Bronco.

Cole Brings Plenty appeared as Pete Plenty Clouds in the Yellowstone spinoff series, 1923. His character was crucial to the storyline of Teonna Rainwater (Aminah Nieves) and her escape from the Indian school for Indigenous American girls.

Mo Brings Plenty has played Mo on Yellowstone since the show's early days. Mo is Thomas Rainwater's (Gil Birmingham) driver/bodyguard/confidante. He has also appeared on Lawmen: Bass Reeves as Minco Dodge.
