New Year's grocery store hours: When Kroger, Publix, Hy-Vee, H-E-B, Acme, Albertsons are open
Last-minute dash to the grocery store before the clock strikes midnight? You may want to check store hours first.
Many of the nation's grocery stores – including Trader Joe’s, Costco and Publix – will close hours before the ball drops on New Year’s Eve. While many grocers will keep regular store hours, some plan to close a couple hours earlier than usual. Most non-grocery stores also have reduced hours Friday.
Still, by and large grocery stores will be open later than they were before Christmas Eve and will stay open on New Year’s Day. Aldi, Costco, Trader Joe's and Sam's Club are among the stores closed Saturday. (See New Year's Day store hours here.)

Most convenience stores, gas stations and drugstores will also be open but expect most pharmacies to be closed or reduced hours Friday and Saturday.
