Mike Myers to star in new Netflix comedy series

Mike Myers is taking his skills as a cunning linguist global thanks to a new Netflix deal.

The streaming service announced Wednesday the beloved Austin Powers and Saturday Night Live actor will front and executive produce a limited half-hour comedy series, set to debut sometime in the near future.

Myers, 55, will reportedly play multiple characters across each of the as-yet-untitled program’s six episodes.

“I love creating characters,” he said of the show via a press release. “Netflix has given me a fantastic playground to play in.”

The actor will executive-produce the project with his Austin Powers collaborator John Lyons and manager Jason Weinberg.

Further details about the series — including casting information and a release date — have yet to be revealed.
