- The 3-0 hit high in the air to center and deep. Hilliard back at the wall. It's gonna go. Number 48 for Pete Alonso. A long one into the stands to the right of the batter's eye.

It's 415 to straightaway center. He might have about 440 or 450 there for his 48th home run of the year. The Mets have homered three times here in the sixth inning. The Mets are leading by a score of 4 to 0. And Bud Black wastes no time trotting out of the dugout, calling for a left-hander. He has seen enough of Melville here in the sixth.

- Michael Conforto leading off against Lester, and he hits the first pitch in the air to center field. Way back, headed toward the wall. It's out of here. A monstrous home run from Conforto. Didn't even need the wind blowing out. He hits one dead central for his 19th of the year, and the Mets go back in front 2 to 1.

Well, on a night when the wind is blowing straight out, Conforto the first to get it up in the air. And man did he clap that.

--three pitches in this inning. And Alonso hits one out of sight. That ball heads for the second deck and beyond up into the third deck. Pete Alonso crushes one.

His first home run since the all-star break. His 31st of the year. And the roof has come crashing down on the Twins here in the eighth. Alonso with an enormous blast to put the Mets up 11 to 3.

- Now watch where this lands.

- That's halfway up the third deck.

- Halfway up. Almost out of the stadium.

- Unbelievable.
